UNLOCKING
OPPORTUNITY
As your Comptroller, I am committed to unlocking the potential of the office to build communities around the state that are more equitable, more resilient, and more prosperous. We will modernize the office to ensure we are working efficiently and effectively. I am honored to be the people’s advocate – championing the needs for everyone from small business owners to students to seniors. Join us!

As a member of the Board of Public Works, I will be committed to ensuring best value on every expenditure and dedicated to using our dollars to close the racial wealth divide, build a climate resilient state, and grow prosperity in all communities.

Through our revenue collection operations, we will ensure we are engaging in proactive outreach to all those who need support and closing the tax gap that exists so we can fund our state priorities, including public education and the transition to clean energy.

We will take the Office of the Comptroller from our mainframe systems to the cloud – transforming the office into a modern efficient and effective resource for every Marylander, business, contractor, and non-profit.

COMPTROLLER
BROOKE LIERMAN
Brooke Lierman is a mom, civil rights attorney, and the first woman Comptroller of the State of Maryland. After serving for eight years as a State Delegate representing part of Baltimore City, she gave up her seat to run to be our state’s elected CFO. She ran a strong grassroots campaign, campaigning relentlessly in all corners of the state to prevail in a contested primary and general election in 2022, winning with over 60% of the vote. As our Comptroller, she is focused on championing policies and pursuing partnerships that ignite economic empowerment, equity, and resilience.
